Why your old bathroom heater just isn’t cutting it

It’s trying its best, but those old incandescent bulbs are basically just fancy lightbulbs that get a bit warm. They aren’t built for the steam, and they definitely aren’t built for comfort. Dealing with the steam
Water and electricity are a nightmare pairing. If you’ve ever had a heater flicker or just die out of nowhere, it’s probably because steam leaked into the housing and fried the internals. We solve this by obsessing over the seal. We use high IP ratings—which is just a fancy way of saying we make them airtight. We also coat the quartz tubes so that mineral deposits from the steam don’t build up and cause a burnout. It means the heater actually lasts, even in the steamiest bathrooms.
A quick heads-up on the wiring
Now, there is one thing to keep in mind. These IR heaters pack a punch, which means they pull more power than a basic light bulb. If you’re swapping one out in an old house, just double-check that your circuit can handle the extra wattage. You don’t want to be standing in the dark because you tripped the breaker.
