We built this heater to run on a 400V industrial line, cranking out 2500W through a halogen lamp. That kind of power isn’t for your average household socket—this is serious, purpose-built heat. The tube is just 300mm long, so it fits into tight spots without fuss. But despite the compact size, it throws out plenty of radiant warmth to cover a specific pet zone. Now, 2500W gives you the heat density you need for steady warmth, but it also means you have to plan your wiring and thermal setup carefully. This isn’t a plug-and-play bulb—it’s a piece of equipment that demands respect.
What it’s made of—and why it matters.
The tube is quartz, plain and simple. It handles the extreme filament temperature and doesn’t crack when things heat up fast. The halogen cycle keeps the quartz clear, so the output stays stable over time—no dimming or light drop-off like you’d get with a standard incandescent. Then there’s the R7s connector. It’s a straight, double-ended design that makes mounting straightforward and ensures a solid, low-resistance connection. In a machine that vibrates, that kind of stability isn’t optional—it’s essential.
Warmth that feels right—especially for pets.
For pet-safe heating, we lean on radiant heat, not forced air. It warms surfaces and bedding directly, so the air around your animal never has to be scorching. That means fewer drafts and no hot spots. This lamp is built for industrial duty, so it can handle the constant on-off cycling of continuous operation. But here’s the catch: at 2500W, the enclosure around it needs proper ventilation and thermal protection. Otherwise, you risk overheating nearby components.
